Important Points to know before starting the Yatra
Opening dates for 2024
The Kedarnath and Badrinath temple will open on 14 and 16-May-2024.
Registration for Yatra
Its compulsory & you can do it yourself, or contact our team for the same.
Minimum days required
5 days if starting from Haridwar or Dehradun and 6 if starting from Delhi.
5 Days Kedarnath and Badrinath Yatra itinerary
Day 1 Haridwar to Kedarnath
Leave for Kedarnath from Haridwar where we will first reach Sonprayag, which is the starting point of 2 days Kedarnath Yatra. Similarly you can also stay in Guptkashi or Sitapur if accommodation is full in Sonprayag.
For guests who are staying in Guptkashi or near, can also visit Ardhnareshwar temple, Manikarnik Kund and Vishwanath temple.
Day 2 Sonprayag to Kedarnath Dham
Start your one side trek for Kedarnath Dham where you will first show your registration in Sonprayag, then reach Gaurikund and then walk 18 km and reach Kedarnath Dham Mandir. Your night stay will be in near Kedarnath Temple today. as many dharmshala or Camps are available.
Day 3 Temple Darshan
After a morning darshan of Kedarnath Dham Temple, come back to Gaurikund and then Sonprayag, and later rest at your hotel for the day. Note: Sonprayag to Gaurikund route is only reserved for local taxi only. So all cars are parked at Sonprayag.
Day 4 Kedarnath to Badrinath
Badrinath Temple dosen’t require any trekking and its situated in Badrinath town, which is 225 km drive away (9 hours). So today you can plan your stay in Badrinath town or nearby like Govind Ghat, Joshimath or Pipalkoti.
Day 5 Badrinath Temple Darshan
So in morning you will have the darshan at Badrinath Dham Temple and then we will leave for Haridwar after lunch. This will be a 317 km drive and takes around 10-12 hours.
Note: Some guests stay in Rurdaprayag, Karanprayag or Srinagar on day 5 night and then reach Haridwar on day 6 by lunch time.

Kedarnath and Badrinath Yatra
1. List of all the places you will visit:
On day 1, you will reach Sonprayag and on route you can visit: Ukhimath Omkareshwar Temple,
On day 2 & 3, you will see: Gauri Kund, Kedarnath Temple, Bhairav Temple, & Mandakini River.
On day 4, you will see: Shri Narsingh Temple Joshimath.
On day 5, you will see: Badrinath Dham Temple & one of Panch Prayag at Karanprayag or Rudraprayag.
On day 6, you will b back in Haridwar & can opt for local Haridwar sightseeing & visit: Evening Ganga Aarti, Bharat Mata Temple, Mansa Devi & Chamunda Devi temple. Plus you can also plan your night stay in Rishikesh, not too far from Haridwar and is an amazing place to explore & stay.
2. List of Hotels to choose from:
On day 1 & 4, book a stay in Sonprayag & some accommodation options are: Hills heritage resort in Sersi, Shivalik Valley Resorts in Sitapur, & Kedar Hill Resort in Sonprayag.
On day 2, you will be staying in Kedarnath Dham where you can get a Dharamshala or Camps from GMVN. On day 4, either reach Badrinath town or book your stay in Joshimath, Govindghat or Pipalkoti. Hotel options are: GMVN Tourist Rest House Devlok in Badrinath, Sarovar Portico in Badrinath, Amritara The Avadh in Badrinath, Hotel Mount View Annexy in Govindghat, Ganga Resort in Govindghat, Hotel Comfort inn in Pipalkoti and Harela Inn.
On day 5, you can either come back to Haridwar for 5 days/ 4 nights Yatra guests or stay in Rudraprayag, Karanprayag or Srinagar. Hotel options are: Hotel Mandakini Rudraprayag, Shri Krishna Palace Hotel Karanprayag, and Hotel Alaknanda Inn in Srinagar.
