Char Dham Yatra Itinerary from Mumbai
Day 1: Arrival from Mumbai
As shared in our above Char Dham Yatra packages from Mumbai, you need to arrive in Haridwar, Dehradun, or Delhi to complete your Yatra in 10, 11, & 12 days. So here on our itinerary, we are sharing the route from Delhi.
So arrive in Delhi from Mumbai via train or flight on day 1, and then we will leave by road to Haridwar for a night stay. The route from Delhi to Haridwar is all expressway and takes around 3 hours.
Day 2: Leave for Barkot
From day 2, you will first leave for Yamunotri Dham Yatra.
This Yatra is of 2 days, as today you will first reach Barkot which is a 5-hour drive (190 km from Haridwar). Upon reaching, you will rest today and be prepared to walk 5 km to Yamunotri Dham temple.
Day 3: Yamunotri Dham visit
In the morning, we will depart for Janki Chatti, which is the starting point of the Yamunotri Dham Yatra.
From there, you will start your journey to Yamunotri Dham, which involves a 5 km trek that can be covered by walking or by using a horse, palki, etc.By noon, you will arrive at the temple, have darshan, and by evening return to Janki Chatti to rest for the day at the booked Barkot hotel.
Day 4: Leave for Uttarkashi
Checkout from your Barkot hotel and leave for Uttarkashi, where you will rest for the night today and also visit the famous “Vishwanath Temple “.
Day 5: Gangotri Dham Yatra
Today by morning, we will leave for Gangotri Dham temple which is 90 km/ 3 hour drive from Uttarkashi.
Upon reaching you will visit the beautiful sites of Gangotri area and then have darshan of Gangotri Dham Temple. By 4-5 pm, we will leave for Uttarkashi and return back before 7 pm, and you will rest at the same hotel for the night
Day 6: Leave for Sonprayag
After breakfast, we will depart from Uttarkashi and head towards Sonprayag or Guptkashi/ Sitapur.
Upon arrival, you will check in at the hotel and rest for the day, as tomorrow you will begin your 2 full days Kedarnath Dham Yatra.
Day 7: Kedarnath Dham Yatra (day 1)
In the morning, we will drop you off at Sonprayag, which is the starting point of the Kedarnath Yatra, and it’s a 30 km drive/1-hour drive from Guptkashi.
From Sonprayag, you will first reach Gaurikund and then embark on an 18 km trek to Kedarnath Dham base camp. You can choose to walk, take a horse, palki, or even a helicopter ride to reach the Kedarnath Dham base camp.
Your overnight stay will be in the Kedarnath Dham area, as you will reach the temple by evening.
Day 8: Kedarnath Dham Yatra (day 2)
The Kedarnath Dham Temple opens at 4 am, and you should plan for a morning darshan to avoid long queues. Aim to have darshan before noon, considering that the return journey will also take 6-7 hours.
By evening or night, you will return to Sonprayag, where we will pick you up and drop you off at the booked hotel. You will rest for the night.
Day 9: Guptkashi to Badrinath
On day 8, you will checkout from Guptkashi hotel and leave for Badrinath which is 200 km/ 7-8 hour drive.
On route you will also visit many temples & attractions and upon reaching Badrinath, you will rest for the night.
Day 10: Badrinath Dham Yatra
In the morning, proceed for the Badrinath Dham darshan. Around noon, depart for Rudraprayag, where you will visit the Panch Prayag site and stay overnight.
Day 11: Come back to Haridwar/ Dehradun
In the morning, check out from the hotel in Rudraprayag and return to Haridwar/Dehradun, completing your Char Dham Yatra.
