13 days/ 12 nights Char Dham Yatra Package by train
This package is for travellers from Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad & Bangalore
For our guests from western and southern India, we provide this 13-day program, which also includes 3 total days for arrival and departure from your home and 10 full days of Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand.
Please be aware that there are no direct trains available from western and southern India to Haridwar and Dehradun.
Therefore, if you have decided to travel by train, Delhi will be your first arrival point.
Let’s first take a look at our 13-day program of Char Dham Yatra, starting from your city, or feel free to discuss it with our manager Mr CB Singh at:
Arrival in Haridwar, Uttarakhand (day 1 & 2)
As mentioned above, you need a minimum of 3 days to reach Haridwar via Delhi from your home, and from cities like Pune, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, the train ride to Delhi is of 1-2 days.
So leave for Delhi on day 1, arrive by night & stay or reach on day 2, rest for 2-3 hours, and leave for Haridwar for the night stay, which is now a 2-3 hour drive via the Delhi Dehradun expressway.
Yamunotri Dham Yatra (Day 3 & 4)
From day 3, we will begin our Char Dham Yatra by road, and our first stop for the Yamunotri Dham Yatra will be Barkot.
After resting for one night here, we will reach Janki Chatti on day 4, walk for 5 km to reach the Yamunotri Dham temple, and after darshan, return to Barkot by night to rest.
.
Gangotri Dham Yatra (Day 5 & 6)
On day 5, we will leave Barkot and drive 80 km west to Uttarkashi. The city is as holy as Kashi in UP, and here we will visit the famous Vishwanath Temple. Our night stay will also be here.
The next day (day 6), we will leave for Gangotri town, easily accessible by road, and reach Gangotri Dham Temple. After the darshan, we will return to Uttarkashi and rest for the night.
Kedarnath Dham Yatra (Day 7 to 9)
On day 7, we will leave Uttarkashi and reach Guptkashi for the night stay. You can also check out hotels in Sitapur, near Guptkashi or Sonprayag.
By day 8 morning, you will first arrive in Sonprayag, which is the last point a private cab can take you. From here, you need to:
- Take a 5 km local taxi drive to Gaurikund
- Then walk 18 km to reach Kedarnath base camp
- The night stay will be at Kedarnath base camp.
On day 9, have the morning Kedarnath Dham darshan and before lunchtime, start your walk back to Gaurikund > Sonprayag, and stay overnight at the hotel.
Badrinath Dham Yatra (Day 10 & 11)
After completing the Kedarnath Dham Yatra, we will leave Guptkashi on day 10 and head towards one of these three cities for a night stay (Pipalkoti, Joshimath, or Badrinath town).
On day 11, we will reach the Badrinath Dham temple without any trekking involved. After darshan here, your Char Dham Yatra would be complete.
We will then return to Delhi via Haridwar, but since it’s a 300+ kilometer mountain drive, we will reach Rudraprayag (midpoint).
We will stay here for the night and also visit one of the Panch Prayag, the confluence of two rivers.
Back to Home Via Delhi (Day 12 & 13)
On day 12, we will depart for Delhi, which is a 375 km drive and an 8-hour journey. En route, you can visit some temples and sites in Haridwar and Rishikesh. Your night stay will be in Delhi.
On the final day of our Char Dham Yatra Package by train, you will depart for your home via one of the many train stations in Delhi or you can also opt for a flight home.
