1. Badrinath Dham Yatra route or itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Badrinath town which is 310, 325 & 540 km drive from Haridwar, Dehradun and Delhi, and then rest at Badrinath town for the night. From Delhi we suggest to stay in Haridwar and then leave for Badrinath on day 2.
Day 2: Have the morning darshan of Badrinath Dham, whose timing is from 6 am to 8 pm. Then after the darshan, visit some local temples & sites and after lunch leave for Rudraprayag for night stay.
Day 3: In Rudraprayag, first visit the Panch Prayag site where 2 rivers meet with each other and later come back to Haridwar, Dehradun and with this your Badrinath Dham Yatra is completed.

Badrinath Dham
History
Badrinath Dham is dedicated to an idol of Shri Hari Vishnu, and there is no confirmed tale behind the temple construction.
A local tale suggest that in Satya Yuga, Shre Hari Vishnu fought a battle against a powerful Assur name Vritra, and later he meditated at Badrinarayan, where today Badrinath town is situated.
Other written documents suggest that during the time of Ashoka the Great, the temple was converted to a Buddhist temple. In later centuries, Adi Shankaracharya brought it back to its original stage.
So, based on these pieces of evidence, we can guess that Shree Hari Vishnu himself spent some time here, which is why saints and travelers have been visiting this temple for more than 2500 years
Origin
There are many theories on Badrinath Dham’s origin, but the most realistic one is that in the 8th century CE, Adi Shankaracharya established this temple, along with the other three Dhams, and this temple is dedicated to an avatar of Shri Hari Vishnu.
Timings of the temple
The temple opens by 4:30 am and closing time is 10:00 pm. In between the there is a afternoon break and an evening aarti also took place at around 6:30 pm.
