Char Dham Yatra registration is compulsory for every person, as per Uttarakhand Government rules & regulations.
Starting the Char Dham Yatra without an approved registration is strictly prohibited.
Local authorities may check your documents at various checkpoints like Sonprayag & Badrinath, and unregistered travellers can be denied further entry. In such cases, you may be asked to return to Rishikesh / Haridwar. So always complete your registration in advance.
How to Register for Char Dham Yatra in 2026?
- Open the official Uttarakhand Tourism registration website: registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in and create a login.
- Sign up using your mobile number and verify it with OTP.
- Select the dates on which you plan to visit Kedarnath & Badrinath Dham.
- After successful registration, you will receive a registration pass which you must keep on your phone and also carry a printout.

Pony / Palki Support at Kedarnath
Pony and palki services are mainly required for the Kedarnath trek which is of 16 km from Gaurikund.
And is not required for Gangotri & Badrinath as car parking are close from these 2 Temples. Though you can opt this service for Yamunotri which is 5 km trek.
These Pony Palki services is arranged locally at Gaurikund for travellers. who are unable to complete the trek on foot.
Charges of this Pony Palki services is not included in the Char Dham Yatra package from Delhi which we offer. & you can pay for it directly to authorised local providers, as per district administration rates.

Answer: In 2026, the kapat (gates) of the Char Dham temples will open on 19-April-2026 for Yamunotri & Gangotri Dham. The closing dates are expected around the last week of October or the first week of November.

Answer: We suggest a minimum of 11 days, and ideally 12 days, from Delhi. In an 11-day plan, you would return directly from Badrinath to Delhi on Day 11, which is approximately a 15-hour drive. In some cases, the Yatra can also be completed in 10 days from Delhi. In that case, on Day 1, we skip the stop and stay in Haridwar and travel straight to Barkot from Delhi, which is a 356 km / 10–11 hour drive.
Q4: What type of helicopter service do you offer for Char Dham Yatra from Delhi?
Answer: No travel agency can directly operate helicopter services for Char Dham, Do Dham, or Kedarnath Dham. All helicopter services are officially operated and managed by IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation).
As a travel agency, our role is limited to checking real-time availability and booking helicopter tickets for our clients. We charge a nominal service fee of approximately 1% to 3% for assistance and booking coordination.

Q10: How much advance is required to book a Char Dham Yatra package from Delhi? What is your cancellation policy?
Answer: We require one day’s payment as advance. The remaining payment is divided equally across the remaining days. For example, if your package is Rs 36,000 for 12 days, we require Rs 3,000 as advance, and from Day 2 to Day 12, the guest needs to pay Rs 3,000 per day.
As per our cancellation policy, the advance payment is 100% refundable if the guest cancels the booking at least 7 days before the trip/Yatra date.
