About Kedarnath Dham
The Kedarnath Dham is dedicated to Mahadev Shiv and the shivling here is said be a bull hump, one of Pnach Kedar temples of Uttarakhand.
The Kedarnath Temple requires to cover an 18 km trek starting from Gaurikund, and this area is open to public from April-May to November, and for the rest months the whole valley of Kedarnath is cut-off from all, and even the deity is bought down to a region name Ukhimath, which is 41 km south of Gaurikund.
From Haridwar Kedarnath is 227 km drive which will take a minimum of 7-8 hours to reach and on route you can visit some amazing places which we have shared below.
About Badrinath Dham
The Badrinath Dham is dedicated to Shri Hari Vishnu ji Maharaj, and this temple is also a part of Char Dham Yatra of India, with other three temples in Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Gujrat.
You can straight reach the Badrinath town where the main temple is, and even stay here for a night/ Though be ready to stand in a line else no trekking is in Badrinath Dham Yatra.
From Haridwar, Badrinath Temple is 320 km which you will cover when returning from Badrinath to Haridwar and from Gaurikund (Kedarnath Dham), the Badrinath town is 223 km driver, approx. 9-10 hour journey.
