Suggested Itinerary of Do Dham Yatra from Delhi:
Day 1: Arrive in Haridwar/Rishikesh from Delhi.
Today you will arrive in Haridwar/Rishikesh from Delhi, which is a 240 km drive and takes around 4 hours.
Upon your arrival in Haridwar, you will visit a few places such as Har Ki Pauri Ghat, attend the evening Ganga Aarti, etc. Your night stay today will be in Haridwar/Rishikesh.
Day 2: Leave for Kedarnath Dham.
In the morning, we will leave for Guptkashi/Sitapur, which is a 200+ km drive from Haridwar and takes around 6 hours.
Upon reaching, you can rest for the day in Guptkashi and visit local temples like Ukhimath Omkareshwar Temple. Your night stay today will be in Guptkashi/Sitapur.
Day 3: Start Kedarnath Dham Yatra from Gaurikund.
In the morning, we will first drop you at Sonprayag, which is a 30 km/1-hour drive from Guptkashi.
From here, you will start your Kedarnath Dham Yatra, which is approximately 5 + 18 km.
The first 5 km can be covered via shared cab till Gaurikund, and then 18 km by walking. You can also take a horse or palki to cover this 18 km yatra.
Upon reaching the Kedarnath base camp, you will rest at a local dharamshala or camp at Kedarnath for the night.
Day 4: Darshan of Kedarnath Dham.
Go for an early morning darshan of Baba Kedarnath, as the temple opens at 4 AM. By noon, start the return journey to Gaurikund, then take a local cab to Sonprayag. From there, we will pick you up and drop you at the hotel in Guptkashi for your night stay.
Day 5: Leave for Badrinath Dham.
In the morning, we will leave for Badrinath town, which is a 195 km drive from Guptkashi and takes around 6 hours.
Upon arrival, you will first check in at the hotel and then try to reach the Badrinath Temple for the evening aarti. If you arrive late, don’t worry — we will have the Badrinath Dham darshan the next morning. Your night stay today will be in Badrinath town.
Day 6: Darshan of Badrinath Dham.
In the morning, you will have a proper darshan of Badrinath Dham, and with this, you will have completed both Do Dham.
By noon, we will leave for Rudraprayag, where you will see the sangam of two rivers — Alaknanda & Mandakini — which is one of the Panch Prayag. Your night stay today will be in Rudraprayag.
Day 7: Return to Delhi.
In the morning, we will leave for Delhi, which is a 379 km drive and takes around 9–10 hours. With this, our Do Dham Yatra Package from Delhi will be completed.

Registration for Do Dham Yatra is compulsory and simple. You can complete it by visiting the official Uttarakhand Tourism website, via WhatsApp, or offline at registration counters in Haridwar, Rishikesh, or Dehradun.

- Register using your mobile number with OTP verification
- Fill in the traveller’s name
- Enter the Aadhaar card number of the traveller
- Select the date when you will reach Kedarnath Dham

The first option is a 3-day helicopter service for visiting both Kedarnath & Badrinath Dham, starting from Sahastradhara Helipad in Dehradun.
This package also includes hotel stay with two meals, cab service from the helipad to the hotel for pick-up and drop, and the tickets are comparatively easy to get as the fare starts from around ₹1,10,000 per person.
The second helicopter service is only for Kedarnath Dham and starts from three helipads in and near Guptkashi: Guptkashi, Phata, and Sersi helipad. The fare for this usually starts from ₹2,500 to ₹5,000 for one side, and higher for round-trip helicopter service.
Tickets for the Kedarnath-only helicopter service are very difficult to get because not more than around 1,000 people are transported daily, while the demand is for more than 10,000 people per day.
Therefore, we suggest our guests prefer trekking to Kedarnath Dham or use horse and palki services.
Horse & Palki options at Kedarnath Dham
For horse, pony, or palki booking for Kedarnath, you need to reach Gaurikund first and then book them. We have suggested their approximate fares below, which may change without any prior notice.
Approximate Charges for 2026:
- Pony (one way): ₹4,000 – ₹6,000
- Pony (round trip): ₹7,000 – ₹9,000
- Palki (one way): ₹8,000 – ₹12,000
- Palki (round trip): ₹14,000 – ₹18,000
- Dandi: ₹6,000 – ₹9,000
No such service is available or required for Badrinath Dham, as your stay will be near Badrinath Temple in Badrinath town, and no trekking is involved here.
The only issue can be long queues for darshan, which you can avoid if you opt for early morning darshan.

Question 1: How much would a Do Dham Yatra package from Delhi cost?
Answer: Here we have two options. One is only transportation, and the second is transportation with a hotel package. The cab fare for an 8-day Do Dham Yatra from Delhi starts at ₹25,000 all-inclusive in a sedan car, ₹56,000 for a 12-seater Tempo Traveller, and ₹1,00,000 for a bus.
Plus, you can include hotel stay in the package. This will be our transportation plus stay all-inclusive plan. For the Do Dham Yatra, a budget hotel package starts from ₹7,000 per person for 8 days, ₹11,000 for deluxe hotels, and ₹15,000 to ₹18,000 per person for premium hotel stays for 8 days in Uttarakhand.
Question 2: How many days will it take to complete the Do Dham Yatra from Delhi?
Answer: Normally we suggest allowing 8 days for the journey. The suggested itinerary is: Night 1 in Haridwar, Night 2 in Guptkashi/Sitapur, Night 3 at Kedarnath base camp, Night 4 in Guptkashi/Sitapur, Night 5 in Badrinath town, Night 6 in Rudraprayag, and Night 7 in Rishikesh/Haridwar.
You can also complete this Yatra in 7 days by skipping the night stay in Rishikesh on Night 7 and driving about 390 km from Rudraprayag to Delhi on Day 7.
Question 3: In which month should we plan the Do Dham Yatra from Delhi?
Answer: The months of April, May, and June are considered the best time to plan a Do Dham Yatra from Delhi, as the weather during these months is usually clear with low rainfall. After this period, we suggest planning the Yatra in September to November.
Question 4: Can I easily get a helicopter booking for Kedarnath Dham?
Answer: If you book the 3-day IRCTC Do Dham Yatra helicopter package, there is a good chance you will get the helicopter booking easily. However, if you only want the Kedarnath Dham helicopter service, the chances are only around 10%, as not more than about 1,000 people get the helicopter ride daily from Guptkashi, Phata, or Sersi helipad to Kedarnath, while the demand is nearly 10 times higher.
So apart from walking, you can opt for horse, pony, or palki services from Gaurikund, which take around 5 hours for a one-side trip to Kedarnath Dham.
Question 5: Is Yatra registration important?
Answer: Yes, registration for the Do Dham and Char Dham Yatra is important and compulsory. It usually takes just 5 minutes, and our team can assist you in completing it within a couple of minutes.
