Char Dham Yatra itinerary from Dehradun

Day 1: Dehradun to Barkot

Distance & time: 140 km & 4-5 hours, with night stay in Barkot city. Upon reaching here you will rest for the day.

Day 2: Barkot to Yamunotri & back

Distance & time: 45 km & 1-2 hours but to reach Janki Chatti (starting point of Yamunotri Dham trek, 5 km long). Later by evening, come back to Barkot,

Day 3: Barkot to Uttarkashi

Distance & time: 80 km & 3 hours, with night stay in Uttarkashi Hotel. Later you will rest for the day or visit Vishwanath Temple.

Day 4: Uttarkashi to Gangotri & back

Distance & time: 100 km & 3-4 hours. No trekking here and you will also come back to Uttarkashi by night.

Day 5: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi

Distance & time: 200 km & 6-7 hour drive. Plus can also stay in Sitapur which is ear Guptkashi. Night stay will be here.

Day 6: Guptkashi to Kedarnath

Distance & time: 30 km & an hour but till Sonorayag, which is the 1 of 2 starting point of Kedarnath Yatra trek, 18-20 km long. Here you will arrive at Gaurikund from Sonprayag which car is allowed ill there and then start the Kedarnath Yatra.

Day 7: Kedarnath to Sonprayag & then Guptkashi

Distance & time: An 18-20 km trek back to Sonprayag via Gaurikund, and ten drive back to Guptkashi hotel to rest for the day.

Day 8: Guptkashi to Pipalkoti

Distance & time: 125 km & 4 hour drive. Here you will rest for the day and next day we will visit Badrinath Dham, where no trekking is involved.

Day 9: Pipalkoti to Badrinath

Distance & time: 80 km & 3 hour drive to reach Badrinath temple from your booked Pipalkoti hotel. Night stay is best at Badrinath today.

Day 10: Badrinath to Dehradun

Come back to Dehradun which is 330 km drive and takes around 10-11 hours. And with this the 10 days Char Dam Yatra is finished from Dehradun.

Note: You can also plan a stay at Rudraprayag or Srinagar and then come back to Dehradun on day 11.

1st Dham: Yamunotri Dham

The first Dham which you will visit from Dehradun is Yamunotri Dham. which is dedicated to Mother Yammuna, and its believed that Yammuna river also starts near this temple. To reach here you need to walk a 5 km from Janki Chatti.

Gangotri Temple

2nd Dham: Gangotri Dham

After visiting Yamunotri Dham on day 2, you will arrive at Gangotri Dham on day 4, and here you can reach by car, have darshan at the temple (no trekking) and then leave by evening.

3rd Dham: Kedarnath Dham

Then by day 6, you will arrive at Kedarnath Dham Temple which is satiated at a glacier and to come here you need to walk 18 km. This is a Shiv Temple, also a Jyotirlinga, and is the most visited temples in Char Dham Yatra.

4th Dham: Badrinath Dham

And finally on day 9, you will arrive at Badrinath Dham, which also require no trekking. The temple is dedicated to God Vishnu, and in winters you will find heavy snowfall here.
