A list of places that you can visit in a Char Dham Yatra in 2026

As mentioned above, with our Char Dham Yatra packages from Pune, you can plan 1–3 extra days and visit Tungnath Temple, Auli, Mussoorie, Haridwar, Rishikesh & Neelkanth.

      1. Tungnath Temple:

To visit Tungnath Temple, which is like visiting one more Dham, you will require 1 extra night stay around Rudraprayag/Chopta. It is absolutely worth it.

      2. Auli:

In winter, you can enjoy authentic skiing at Auli. We suggest adding at least 2 extra days for Auli, which is around 55–60 km from Badrinath town.

      3. Mussoorie & Dhanaulti:

The hill stations of Mussoorie and Dhanaulti are close to Haridwar and very near Dehradun. Many travelers visit these places after completing their Char Dham Yatra and plan a 1–2 day trip here.

Some popular places to visit include Kempty Falls, Mall Road, Gun Hill, Company Garden, Eco Park (Dhanaulti), and Surkanda Devi Temple.

FAQ  which we gut before finalizing Char Dham Yatra package from Pune

Q1: Can I complete the Char Dham Yatra in 12 days from pUNE?

Answer: Yes, even 11 days is possible, but 12 days is the most comfortable option. You should take a morning flight to Delhi, from where we will pick you up at IGI Airport and drive you to Haridwar in about 4–5 hours.

From Day 2 to Day 11, you will complete the full Char Dham Yatra with stays across Barkot (2 nights), Uttarkashi (2 nights), Guptkashi/Sitapur, Kedarnath base camp, Badrinath, Rudraprayag, and Haridwar/Rishikesh. On Day 12, we will drop you back at Delhi Airport before lunchtime, allowing you to comfortably catch an evening or night flight back to Pune.

And if you have choose to take trains instead of flights, then its 13 days, and you will reach Pune on day 14.

Q2: What will be the all inc cost of a 13 days Char Dham Yatra package from Pune?

Answer: Let’s break the cost into 3 sections. First is trains (3rd AC). The per person fare from Pune will come to around ₹6,500 to ₹7,500 for a return train journey.

Next is the cab expense. The per day fare for a sedan for the Char Dham Yatra is around ₹3,000 per day, or ₹33,000 for 11 days.

Finally, for hotels, we suggest budgeting around ₹ 1,000 per night per person with breakfast. For a 13 days trip (with 1 night excluded for train travel), this comes to approximately ₹11,000.

So, ₹ 7,500 + ₹ 16,500 + ₹ 11,000 = around ₹ 34,000 per person. This cost can reduce to about ₹25,000 per person for a group of 4, as the cab cost is shared and group discounts may apply.

Q3: Can I get a confirmed ticket for Kedarnath Dham Helicopter?

Answer: Yes, if you plan in advance. For example, this year the tickets up to 22 June were fully booked on Day 1 itself.

So, for our guests who had completed their registration and shared their Group ID or individual registration ID in advance, we were able to secure confirmed helicopter services for Kedarnath.

However, if you try even the next day, the chances are almost zero. In such cases, we suggest opting for a horse or palki. Even if you use them only for the return trek, it becomes much easier.

Q4: Is the Yatra safe for kids and senior citizens?

Answer:  Yes, the Yatra is safe for kids and senior citizens, but only with proper preparation.

Carry extra medicines, always keep dry food/snacks, and be prepared for traffic delays, as landslides can sometimes take up an entire day. If you are comfortable with a 13 days journey extending to 14–15 days when traveling with kids or senior citizens, you will be in a much better position to handle the trip smoothly.

Q5: Which will be the best dates to plan a Char Dham Yatra from Pune?

Answer: The Yatra mostly starts after 20 April, and from this time until 1st July it is the most crowded period, as there are fewer chances of rain and landslides. During these dates, more than 20,000–30,000 travelers visit daily.

In July and August, this number drops to about one-third due to rains and landslides. These months are less crowded, but you should be prepared for possible delays of 1–2 days.

From September to November, a good number of travelers resume the Yatra, and these are usually more serious pilgrims. So, a post-monsoon (winter-side) Yatra is also a good choice. Now you can decide when you want to plan your Char Dham Yatra from Pune.
