Detailed 12 Days Char Dham Yatra Itinerary from Pune

Day 1: Pune to Delhi & Haridwar Transfer

Board your flight from Pune and arrive at Delhi IGI Airport. Our driver will welcome you at the airport and begin the journey towards Haridwar, one of the holiest pilgrimage cities in Uttarakhand. The drive takes around 4–5 hours. After reaching Haridwar, check in at the hotel and relax for the night.

Day 2: Haridwar to Barkot

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Barkot via scenic mountain roads and river valleys. The distance from Haridwar to Barkot is approximately 200 km and usually takes 6–7 hours. On arrival, check in at the hotel and enjoy an overnight stay in Barkot.

Day 3: Yamunotri Dham Darshan

Start your morning early and drive to Janki Chatti, the starting point of the Yamunotri trek.

• Drive from Barkot to Janki Chatti
• Trek of around 5 km to Yamunotri Temple
• Optional holy bath at Surya Kund
• Darshan and पूजा at Yamunotri Dham

After completing the darshan, trek back to Janki Chatti and return to Barkot by cab for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 4: Barkot to Uttarkashi

After breakfast, leave Barkot and drive towards Uttarkashi, a spiritual town situated on the banks of the Bhagirathi River.

• Travel time: 3–4 hours
• Hotel check-in on arrival

In the evening, you may visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.

Day 5: Gangotri Dham Visit

After breakfast, proceed for a day trip to Gangotri Dham.

• Short walk from parking to the temple
• Darshan at the sacred Gangotri Temple

Spend some peaceful time near the Bhagirathi River before returning to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi

Today’s journey is one of the longest drives of the Yatra. After breakfast, check out and travel towards Guptkashi.

• Approximate distance: 250 km
• Travel duration: 8–9 hours

After reaching Guptkashi, check in at the hotel. If time permits, visit local temples nearby. Overnight stay in Guptkashi.

Day 7: Kedarnath Trek Begins

Wake up early in the morning and drive to Sonprayag. From there, take a local shared taxi to Gaurikund, which is the starting point of the Kedarnath trek.

• Early morning departure recommended
• 16 km trek to Kedarnath Temple
• Pony and palki services available at extra cost

Reach Kedarnath by evening and stay overnight near the temple area or base camp.

Day 8: Kedarnath Darshan & Return

Attend the early morning darshan at Kedarnath Temple and later explore nearby spiritual sites.

• Visit Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi
• Visit Bhairavnath Temple

After breakfast, begin the return trek towards Gaurikund. From there, continue towards Guptkashi for an overnight stay.

Day 9: Guptkashi to Badrinath

After breakfast, leave for Badrinath Dham via beautiful Himalayan routes.

• Approximate distance: 200 km
• Travel time: 6–7 hours

On arrival, check in at the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Badrinath.

Day 10: Badrinath Darshan & Rudraprayag

Wake up early for morning darshan at Badrinath Temple. Later, visit nearby attractions including:

• Mana Village
• Tapt Kund
• Bhim Pul
• Vyas Gufa

By afternoon, begin the drive towards Rudraprayag for an overnight halt.

Day 11: Rudraprayag to Rishikesh

After breakfast, drive towards Rishikesh while enjoying the scenic beauty of Uttarakhand.

• Visit Panch Prayag en route
• Enjoy views of river confluences
• Reach Rishikesh by evening

Check in at the hotel and stay overnight in Rishikesh.

Day 12: Rishikesh to Delhi & Return to Pune
