1. Udaipur City Palace
A 400 year old palace, well maintained by a private family who belongs to old Maharaja of Udaipur, and here they have presents a gallery/ museum of Udaipur history, culture. Plus there are many palaces, huge entrances, villas inside them.
2. Lake Palace
Built in 1746 by a prince of Udaipur after his fight with his father, The Lake Palace one of the best resort in the whole World. Its also India’s original 5 star hotel where shotting of James Bond (1983) took place. A night stay here may cost Rs 50,000 but its worth it.
3. Jagmandir Island
2nd structure that is build in the middle of the lake in Udaipur is the Jagmandir Island. You will reach here in a boat and find elephant statues as guards, some palaces & gardens like Gul Mahal, Bara Patharon ka Mahal etc. A very beautiful & must visit place in Udaipur.
4. Saheliyon Ki Bari
Saheliyon Ki Bari was opened in 18th century by that time Maharana Sangram Singh for his wife & maids, or you can say that this is a beautiful royal garden for the queen & her friends (Saheliyon). You can come here for an hour, see the beautiful gardens, fountains, lotus pools, etc.
5. Jagdish Temple
Built by Maharana Jagat Singh in 17th century, Jagdish Temple is one of the most famous temples in Udaipur dedicated to Vishnu. Then temple is a excellent example of Mewar Architecture style as its walls, pillars have very details work, and this many tourists come here to see the temple.
6. Fateh Sagar Lake
Fatehsagar Lake is one of three big lakes in Udaipur, and one of the best boating spot in Udaipur. It was constructed by Maharana Jai Singh in 17th century for wain water storage and even today its water is treated and supplied in the city. Come here in evening & enjoy boat ride.
