Distance, time & on-route sites
Distance & time: Haridwar to Yamunotri temple distance is 211 km and it takes around 8 hours. Please note, a car can only take you to “Janki Chatti” and from here you need to walk or get house ride till the temple, and its a 5 km walk.
On-route sites: On route to Yamunotri dham, you can also plan to visit beautiful sites Mussoorie like Kempty fall, company garden, and a few sites of Dehradun like Roberts cave.
About Barkot: You can also plan your stay at Barkot which is a famous stop for Yamunotri temple visit & is 45 km drive till Janki Chatti. Like book your stay in Barkot for day 1, next day visit the Yamunotri temple, & then leave for 2nd dham or Haridwar, as per your choice.
