Lake Pichola
Lake Pichola is a man made lake, created in 1362 CE, by local Pichhu Banjara tribe of Udaipur. Later this lake was more developed by Udaipur royal families, and today travellers come here to take a boat ride and see the view of City Palace, Lake Palace etc.
City Palace of Udaipur
The City Palace was built in 1559 CE by the Maharana Udai Singh II, after who the city of Udaipur is named. Then in next 400 years, later rulers of Udaipur developed this palace, here you can see the Palace museum, peacock courtyard, Garden Palace, and other palaces inside.
Jagmandir Palace
Jagmandir Palace was built in 1531 AD, in the middle of Lake Pichola, by Maharana Amar Singh I. Though it took 2 more centuries to get it completed. Travelers come here to see its white marble palaces like Gul Mahal, beautiful gardens and view of City & Lake Palace.
Fateh Sagar Lake
Fateh Sagar Lake is an anther artificial freshwater in Udaipur, which was created in 1678 CE, by Maharana Jain Singh. Tourist comes here to see the scenic view with a boat ride of Aravalli mountain range, and also visit Nehru Park, Udaipur Solar Observatory and Maharana Pratap Memorial, at nearby hill.
Saheliyon-ki-Bari
Saheliyon-ki-Bari was built in 1710 CE, by Maharana Sangram Singh II for his queen friends, total 48 which use to walk with the queen. Today travellers come here to see its marble fountains, lush gardens, flowers and also a small museum inside.
Jagdish Temple
Jagdish Temple was built in 1651 CE, and is dedicated to Shree Hari Vishnu, and is also considered as the biggest temple in Udaipur. This is a 3 storey temple, with a 5 feet black stone statue of Shree Vishnu, and a 79 feet shikhara, which can be seen from every part of Old Udaipur.
Bagore ki Haveli
Bagore ki Haveli is is a mansion, which was built in 1751 CE, as the home of the Prime Minister of Mewar kingdom, Amar Chand Badwa. Today travellers come here to see its museum with 100 beautifully restored royal rooms, that present the Rajasthani costumes, jewelry, paintings, enjoy Dharohar Folk Dance Show & see the largest collection of Turbans.
Eklingji Temple
The Eklingji Temple was built un 734 CE, by Bappa Rawal, who is the founder of Merwar, and this temple is dedicated to Mahadev Shiv. The Eklingji Temple is 21 km drive from city & here travelers see the four-faced black marble idol of Mahadev Shiv.
Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace
Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace is a palace built at the top of a hill, by Maharana Sajjan Singh in 1884 CE, and this palace is 944 meter above sea level, which provide a 360 degree views of Udaipur city, nearby hills, lakes, and also the best places to see sunset.
