Trip 1: 2 day tour to Ajmer and Pushkar from Jaipur

On day 1, take a cab from Jaipur to reach Ajmer, which is 135 km away.

This is a 3-4 hour drive & 1st stop the shrine of Moinuddin Chisti, also known as the Dargah Sharif.

About Ajmer Dargah Sharif:

Ajmer Dargah Sharif, originally known as Khawaja Gharib Nawaz, is a shrine of a 13th century Sufi saint Moinuddin Chishti.

Moinuddin Chishti was from Iran, & travelled to India and stayed most of his life in Ajmer, Rajasthan.

Today, people from Muslim & Hindu community visit this shrine, and offer prayers, gifts like chadar (cotton sheets)

The best time to visit Ajmer Dargah Sharif is during the annual festival of Urs in March.

This is a 6 day festival, full of sufi music & is celebrated on the death anniversary of Moinuddin Chishti.

Along with dargah, you can also visit other sites like:

  • Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra
  • Buland Darwaja
  • Ana Sagar Lake
  • Nareli Jain Temple, &
  • Akbari Fort & Museum.

And by night, plan your stay in Ajmer, for which I would suggest you to book a hotel in Ajmer.

Day 2: Next day, checkout from your hotel, & leave for Pushkar, which is just 15 km & approx 1 hour drive from Ajmer.

Pushkar is famous for its lake & temples, and the best site to visit here is the:

About Brahma Temple & Pushkar Lake:

The Brahma temple of Pushkar is one of very few historical temples devoted to Lord Brahma.

This is a 14th century temple which & is one of the must see temples in Pushkar, which has like more than 500 plus temples.

Just walking distance from the Brahma temple, is the Pushkar Lake, which has 52 ghats, and has a recorded history since 4th century.

Thousands of pilgrimages, visit Pushkar Lake for a holy dip during the festival of Kartik Purnima, held every year on the month of November.

In this same period, you can also attend the famous (annual) Pushkar Camel Fair.

Some other famous tourist sites in Pushkar are:

  • Rangji Temple (Old & new)
  • Gau Ghat, Brahma (few of many ghats at Pushkar lake)
  • Savitri Mata hilltop temple

You can also go for a camel safari ride in Pushkar & by late evening, you should have done your Pushkar sightseeing.

Now either, leave for Jaipur by taxi, or go to Ajmer Junction to catch a train back for home.

Trip 2: 2 day trip to Agra, Bharatpur & Fatehpur Sikri from Jaipur

On Day 1 of this tour, you will leave from Jaipur to arrive in Agra’s Taj Mahal Car Parking, which is a of 242 km & 5-6 hours of cab journey.

We all know that Taj Mahal in Agra, one of seven wonder of the world, is the number visited tourist site in India.

So when you visit this beautiful mausoleum from Jaipur, you can plan a sunrise tour by coming here at 5 am, to see the sunrise.

After you’ve seen the Taj Mahal, you must visit Agra’s other historic monuments like:

About Fatehpur Sikri:

Fatehpur Sikri is a world famous UNESCO World Heritage Site, and originally built as a complete city by Emperor Akbar back in 1571 AD.

It’s now a ghost town, and here there are marvellous palaces, mosques and other monuments made of red sandstone.

You will be mesmerized by the architecture of:

  • Buland Darwaza
  • Jama Masjid
  • Panch Mahal
  • Tomb of Salim Chisti, & Structures inside the huge palace complex.

It usually takes 1-2 hour to view sites in Fatehpur Sikri, after which you will drive further and reach Bharatpur in Rajasthan.

About Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary:

Bharatpur is just 24 km from Fatehpur Sikri, & driving generally takes around 30-40 minutes.

There are many restaurants in Bharatpur, where you can plan your lunch, & later visit the famous for its Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary.

Also called Keoladeo Ghana National Park.

It’s one of the best places in India to spot migratory birds, animals, and reptiles.

Here, you can take a cycle, rickshaw or sit in a battery jeep for a safari tour & go deep into the jungle.

And by evening, your 2 days trip to Agra, Fatehpur Sikri & Bharatpur will come to an end, & you can now plan to come back to Jaipur.

Travel cost of Agra from Jaipur:

A two day taxi cost from Agra, where you can visit Agra, Fatehpur Sikri and Bharatpur will cost you Rs 10 per km, multiply by total km travelled, around 600 km (Rs 9 x 600 = Rs 5400).

Trip 3: 2 day tour to Ranthambore National Park from Jaipur

About Ranthambore National Park & its activities:

Ranthambore National Park is famous all over the world for its tigers.

You can go on Jeep Safari, inside the park to watch tigers and other animals in their natural habitat.

There are many lakes inside the park, forts and ruined structures which you must see when visiting the national park.

From Jaipur, Ranthambore National Park is 191 km away, and a cab journey takes around 4-5 hours to reach there.

On Day 1 of your tour, you will leave Jaipur and on Day 2 go for tiger safaris.

The safari timings are fixed and they are 6.30 am to 10.00 am in the morning, and evening timings are 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm.

Although you cannot stay inside the park, there are many hotels and resorts bordering the park.

Some of the best are Ranthambhore Heritage Haveli, The Sher Garh Resort, Tree Leaf Kipling Lodge, Hotel Ranthambhore Palace, and Tiger Home Ranthambore.

From Ranthambore, Chand Baori is 140 km & 3 hour drive away.

Chand Baori is one of the deepest and largest stepwells of India, and it’s medieval architecture and symmetrical steps are a beautiful sight.

And today, this stepwell is a favorite destination for bollywood & hollywood film makers. Like a scene of the famous 2012 Batman movie was filmed here.

Mehandipur Balaji Temple is an anther popular place to visit, which is devoted to Lord Hanuman & is just 30 minute drive away from Chand Baori.

Devotees come to this temple and are said to get free from body pain, ailments, evil spirits or black magic.

In the evening, you can go back to Jaipur, which is 95 km, and a drive of around 2-3 hours.

Trip 4: 2 day tour to Jodhpur from Jaipur

Jodhpur is famous as the Blue City, due to its blue colored houses.

It’s one of the most beautiful cities of Rajasthan, and here there is vintage charm and royal splendour, seen in its various heritage monuments and historical landmarks.

Jodhpur is 333 km from Jaipur, and 7-8 hours of road trip & if you leave Jaipur at 9 am on Day 1, you will arrive at 3 pm in the afternoon.

On the same day, you can visit Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada, and explore the Clock Tower market in the evening.

Jodhpur is famous for its mouth-watering food, and you can go for best fine dining restaurants in Umaid Bhawan Palace, or go for popular restaurants like Gypsy to try tasty Rajasthani Thali.

Next day, checkout from your hotel and visit Mandore Gardens.

The gardens have spectacular temple-like structures with amazing carvings on stone.

These are memorials of Rajput kings, and all around you will see green lawns and peaceful atmosphere.

Afterwards, you can visit Umaid Bhawan Palace, which is one of the world’s largest palaces.

All around, there are green lawns, and inside you will find a museum, luxury restaurants, and the best heritage hotels in the world.

After lunch, you can go to Osian Mata Temples.

The temple complex has a cluster of beautifully carved temples, all of them devoted to Jain tirthankaras or Hindu gods & goddesses.

And nearby temple, there is the Osian desert dunes, where you can go for a camel safari, jeep safari and view evening beautiful sunsets.

Your Jodhpur visit should be over by 6 pm, and thereafter you can catch trains or flights to go to Jaipur.

Driving to Jaipur will take 6 hours approx, as it is 333 km away.

Trip 5: 2 day tour to Khatu Shyam ji, Salasar Balaji & Rani Sati dadi temple from Jaipur

Khatu Shyam ji temple is devoted to a divine incarnation of Lord Krishna, Khatu Shyamji. Every year around Holi, a big fair is held in the temple, and thousands of devotees come to seek blessings of the Lord Khatu Shyamji.

Lord Hanuman is the chief deity of Salasar Balaji Temple. Its 4-5 hour’s drive from Jaipur. The temple has beautiful carvings on marble stone. Many devotees come to this temple, and it’s said that people get rid of physical ailments and other diseases and even have their wishes fulfilled.

Rani Sati Dadi Temple is devoted to Rani Sati, a woman who committed Sati. The temple is the chief attraction of Jhunjhunu, and is completely made of marble. Inside there are wall paintings, and thousands of devotees come here during festivals.

Tourists can stay in Sikar, which are very close to these temples. Hotels to stay in Sikar are Hotel Fortune Blue, Royal Inn Hotel, Hotel Vinayak Palace, Hotel Raisina Hill and Hotel Park Avenue.

Trip 6: 2 day tour to Bundi & Kota from Jaipur

Bundi is a hidden gem of a city in Rajasthan, where you will find numerous stepwells, forts, mansions, and palaces.

Bundi has an astonishing 50 stepwells, and if you want to powerful forts, or paintings and lavish mansions, Bundi is the right place to go.

You will leave Jaipur on Day 1 and reach Bundi, which is 219 km from Jaipur and a cab journey will take 4-5 hours to reach.

Here, in Bundi, you will see such magnificent tourist attractions like Garh Palace, Sukh Mahal, Taragarh Fort, Raniji ki Baori and Chaurasi Khambon Ki Chhatri.

In Bundi, there are excellent hotels where you can have a wonderful stay.

We suggest Hotel Bundi Haveli, Dev Niwas, Shivam Tourist Guest House, Kasera Heritage View and Bundi Inn.

On Day 2, you will leave Bundi to go to Kota. Kota is just 38 km from Bundi and takes an hour’s drive by road.

Although Kota is a big industrial city, there are some interesting tourist sites like Seven Wonders Park, Chambal Gardens, City Palace, Kishore Sagar Lake and Chatra Vilas Garden.

Kota Junction railway station is where all the trains to Rajasthan have a halt. So you can catch any train to Jaipur.

Else, you can drive by car to Jaipur, which is 253 km and takes 4-5 hours by road.

Trip 7: 2 day tour to Shekhawati from Jaipur

Shekhawati region of Rajasthan is famous for its rich mansions, lavish havelis, artistic paintings, wall frescoes, forts and temples.

So beautiful are the art and the paintings, that Shekhawati is famous as India’s biggest ‘Open Art Gallery’.

From Jaipur, you will drive to Mandawa, which is a town in Shekhawati region, 169 km away, and 3-4 hours of road trip.

On Day 1 of your trip to Mandawa, you will see the artistically painted havelis, which are the most famous landmarks, and most of them are converted into heritage hotels or museums.

On Day 2 of your tour, you will visit Nawalgarh and here there are such beautiful havelis like Aath haveli, Anandi Lal Poddar Haveli, Murarka Haveli, Khedwal Bhawan and Bhagton ki Haveli.
