Day-wise itinerary for Kedarnath tour package:
Day 1: You will arrive in Delhi before noon via flight or train, and our driver will pick you up and leave for Haridwar which is now a 3 hour drive from new expressway. Upon reaching Haridwar you can attend the evening aarti at Har ki Pauri or just straight way rest at the hotel.
Day 2: After your breakfast, we will leave for Sonprayag/ Guptkashi/ Sitapur, where ever your hotel stay in booked and night stay here. This will be a 210 to 230 km or 8-9 hour drive.
Day 3: By morning, the cab will drop you at Sonprayag from where you first need to get your Yatra Registration checked, and then reach Gaurikund which is 5-6 km from Sonprayag. The nest option here is to take the shared Bolero Car.
The car will drop you at Gaurikund, which is the starting trek point for Kedarnath Dham. Air to reach Gaurikund by early morning, as the trek till the Kedarnath Dham is of 18 km, and easily consume 10-12 hours.
You can also take Horse Palki, which can reduce the Yatra time to 4-6 hours, and helicopter service is also available from Guprkashi, Sersi Helipad which takes 20 minutes buy only limited seats are available. So we suggest to take horse or Palki.
Night stay today will be at a Dharamshala or Camp in Kedarnath Dham.
Day 4: The temple opens 4 am, so best is to have the early morning darshan to skip the huge line and by noon, plan to start the return journey till Gaurikund. By night you will rest at the booked hotel in Sonprayag or Guptkashi/ Sitapur.
Day 5: Back to Haridwar, around night and rest. Plus you can also opt to reach Delhi by late night.
Day 6: Back to Delhi from Haridwar and catch the flight/ train back to Mumbai.

Itinerary of Kedarnath Yatra in 2026

Day 1: Leave from Mumbai to Dehradun or Haridwar, and rest for the night in any of these cities, or even Rishikesh.
Day 2: By morning drive towards Sonprayag which is 225 km drove and takes 7 hours. So upon reaching here you can either rest or visit a few temples near Sonprayag like Vishwanath Temple, Ukhimath Temple. Plus if hotel booking is not available in Sonprayag then we suggest to stay in Guptkashi, Sitapura or Ukhimath.
Day 3: Reach Sonprayag early morning, as here the local government officials will check your Yatra registration and only then you will be allowed to start your Kedarnath Dham Yatra.
Then from here you will:
- Take local Cab till Gaurikund, 5 km.
- Trek 18 km till Kedarnath Dham base camp
- Night stay in Kedarnath base Camp
Day 4: The temple timing of Kedarnath Dham is from 4 am to 9 pm. So today try to have the morning darshan, to avoid any crowd and by noon visit Shankaracharya Samadhi, Bhairavnath Temple, all near Kedarnath Dham Temple.
Later trek back to Gaurikund, then Sonprayag and sit back in camp and rest at the hotel for the night.
Day 5: After breakfast, come back to Haridwar/ Dehradun and on route stop at Rudraprayag to see the Panch Kedar site. Your night stay will be in these cities.
Day 6: Catch the flight/ train back to Mumbai, or you can also leave for Delhi for the same.
