The best time to visit Kedarnath is May & June, as in these two months, you will find the highest temperature, which will still be cold weather. Else, starting 10-20 days at Kedarnath Dham are always crowded, and August is the least crowded, apart from national holidays.
For our guests who are visiting Kedarnath for the first time, should be ready for cold weather, and we suggest bringing basic cold medicine. The 18 km long path that you can walk or take assistance of palki/horse and a 2-3 hour wait for temple darshan.
