FAQ on Tour package planning of Kedarnath from Bangalore:
Question 1: What are all the inclusions of your Kedarnath package from Bangalore?
Answer: If you book our all-inclusive package, which comes with a private cab and bus (group tour option), you will get all transportation included—covering taxi fare, toll tax, parking charges, and overnight stays in budget, deluxe, or premium hotels.
We also offer a transportation-only package, where you handle the hotel booking and we take care of all transportation arrangements.
Question 2: Which is the best time to visit Kedarnath Dham from Bangalore?
Answer: The temple of Kedarnath Dham is open from April to October. During the monsoon months, it receives only about 10% of the usual crowd, while the rest of the months are generally crowded.
We recommend visiting in June, as it is less crowded than April and May, and not as cold as September and October.
Question 3: How much time it takes to reach Kedarnath Dham from Sonprayag?
Answer: Around 12 hours, and if you opt for horse or Palki then 5-6 hours.
Question 4: Are there any hotels at Kedarnath base camp?
Answer: No, only Dharamshalas and camps are available, such as the GMVN camps, which are run by the Government of Uttarakhand. Other notable Dharamshalas at Kedarnath Dham include Bharat Sevashram Sangha Dharamshala, Rajasthan Seva Sadan, Punjab Sindh Awas, Kailash Ashram, etc.
Question 5: Can kids and senior citizens go for Kedarnath Dham yatra?
Answer: Yes Palki is best for senior citizens, who can’t walk for 18 km and millions of senior citizen travellers visit Kedarnath Dham every year, so its not that difficult.
Question 6: Which all documents should I carry during my Kedarnath Dham Yatra?
Answer: Along with Yatra registration, which is very important (read more here), you should carry your Aadhar card, Passport if you are not an Indian citizen, and any medical history details, if you are suffering from some long term disease.
Question 7: Suggest a list of items to carry during Kedarnath Dham Yatra?
Answer: While traveling to Kedarnath, especially during the trek from Gaurikund, you should carry a raincoat, waterproof shoes and backpack, warm clothes, a water bottle, some cold medicine, and your Yatra registration certificate. If possible, carry a printed copy of the certificate as well.
