FAQ on our Jaipur Agra tour sightseeing packages
Question 1. Is two days enough to explore Agra, Mathura, Vrindavan, Fatehpur Sikri and Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary from Jaipur?
Answer: Yes, two days is actually just okay to visit all these places if properly planned, though it will not be a super-comfortable trip. If you leave Jaipur by 9 a.m., you can first visit the Chand Baori Stepwell, which is around 90 kilometres from Jaipur, followed by Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary and Fatehpur Sikri. This will complete the sightseeing for day one.
On day two, you can visit the Taj Mahal, Mehtab Bagh and Agra Fort until evening. Later, after 5 p.m., you can visit Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple in Mathura and Banke Bihari Temple in Vrindavan.
Though this itinerary will be very hectic, this is why we have developed two different itineraries, which are shared above. The price is the same for both itineraries.
Question 2. How far is Agra from Jaipur and Mathura-Vrindavan from Agra?
Answer:Agra is around 240 kilometres from Jaipur, which we cover via the Jaipur-Agra Highway. From Agra, Mathura is around 60 kilometres away, while Vrindavan is around 70 kilometres away.
Question 3. Which will be the best months to visit Agra and nearby sites from Jaipur?
Answer:August to March is considered a good time to visit Agra, Mathura, Vrindavan and nearby sites, as the weather is generally pleasant and there is no extreme summer heat. However, during festivals and holidays such as Diwali, New Year and Janmashtami, these destinations can become extremely crowded.
Question 4. Should I book a hotel in Agra or in Mathura-Vrindavan?
Answer:If you choose our second package, which combines Agra with Mathura-Vrindavan, you can stay in Agra. However, to save some extra travel time, you can also check into a hotel in Vrindavan by late night, around 11 p.m.
The next morning, you can wake up and get ready and spend around 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. visiting the popular temples of Vrindavan. By around 5 p.m., you can proceed to Mathura and visit Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple, Dwarkadhish Temple and other attractions. This makes the itinerary easier and more comfortable.
Question 5. Is this two-day trip safe for senior citizens?
Answer:Yes, this two-day trip is generally not a big issue for senior citizens. There is some walking at the Taj Mahal, but wheelchairs are easily available at almost every major tourist destination in Agra.
In Mathura-Vrindavan, the car stops at the parking area before Prem Mandir. From there, you can hire a private battery rickshaw or golf cart to reach the temple entrance. At some famous temples of Vrindavan, such as Banke Bihari Temple, there is only around 100 metres of walking. There is also some walking at Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple in Mathura, but wheelchairs are available here as well.
Question 6. What’s your booking policy and cancellation policy?
Answer: If you book our package, which is available for online booking on a per-person basis, and cancel 14 days before the trip date, your transportation cost will be refunded completely. Hotel booking cancellation will be as per the individual hotel’s cancellation policy, which we will share with you before making the booking.
