      As per the government policy, Taj Mahal entry timing is 30 minutes before sunrise and 30 minutes before sunset. Thus you can enter Taj Mahal between 6 am to 6 pm in winters and 5:30 am to 6 pm in summer.

    • 2. What is the entry fees of Taj Mahal?

      Taj Mahal entry fee for Indian nationals is Rs 40 per person, for travellers from SAARC & BIMSTEC Countries, it’s Rs 530 per person & for travellers from all other countries Rs 1.000 per person.

      SAARC & BIMSTEC nations: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka & Thailand.

    • 3. Why is Taj Mahal closed on Friday?

      Taj Mahal is closed on Friday, only for travellers because this day is reserved for locals to come & attend prayers (namaz) at the Mosque inside Taj Mahal. But all other tourist sites are open on Friday.

    • 4. From where I can buy entry tickets for Taj Mahal?

      You can but the entry tickets of Taj Mahal at the ticket counters at Western,  Eastern & Southern gate. And the entry in Taj Mahal is from the Western, & Eastern gate. So it’s best to buy entry tickets from Western & Eastern gate.

      You will find separate queues for domestic (Indian) & foreigners travellers, and entry fee for children below 15 years is free (both foreigner & Indian travellers)

    • 5. Can I buy Taj Mahal entry tickets online?

      Yes, entry tickets for Taj Mahal & all other tourist attractions of Agar are available at ASI website. ASI stands for Archaeological Survey of India, who is responsible for maintenance of all world heritage sites in India.       There are a few points, which you should know before visiting Taj Mahal. They are:

      • Southern gate of Taj Mahal is only for Exit, and entry from this gate is only opened to maintain high crowd.
      • The Taj museum inside Taj Mahal is open from 10 am to 5 pm
      • No private vehicle is allowed in 500-meter radius of Taj Mahal.
      • You can get battery golf cart from parking to reach Taj Mahal entrance gate.
      • Eating & smoking isn’t allowed in Taj Mahal premises.
      • Liquor, tobacco, eatables, tripods, headphones, mobile charger, arms aren’t allowed at Taj Mahal.
      • Normal camera (PowerShot, DSLR etc) is allowed in Taj Mahal.
      • You are requested to keep the mobile phone switched off or alteast on the silent mode in Taj Mahal.
      • Photography of Tombs inside the Taj Mahal mausoleum is banned.
