Our Char Dham yatra from Haridwar by car
1. Char Dham Yatra route map or itinerary
Day 1: Haridwar to Barkot: A 176 km drive which will take 6 hours (minimum) and night stay in Barkot. Plus you will also visit tourist sites of Mussoorie like Kempty Fall (best place for lunch). By evening you will check-in at the hotel & rest for the day.
Day 2: Barkot to Yamunotri & back to Barkot: Reach Janki Chatti & start a 5 km trek to Yamunotri temple (horse/ Doli available) and aftrer darshan. come back to Janki Chatti, and then we will drop you back to hotel in Barkot, for night stay.
Day 3: Barkot to Uttarkashi: Leave for Uttarkashi, which is 80 km drive from Barkot, visit the Vishwanath Temple & Others & later check-in at the hotel in Uttarkashi.
Day 4: Uttarkashi to Gangotri & back to Uttarkashi: Leave for Gangotri from Uttarkashi, 95 km drive, and on route visit Gangnani, holy dip in Garam Kund and later reach Gangotri temple, via the Harsil Valley, famous for its natural beauty. Later after darshan, come back to Uttarkashi hotel.
Day 5: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi or Sitapur: Leave for Guptkashi or Sitapur, and visit Mandakini river on route, and later check-in at the hotel on Guptkashi or Sitapur, & rest for the day.
Day 6: Guptkashi/Sitapur to Kedarnath (Trek or Helicopter): Leave for Kedarnath temple visit from Guptkashi, where we will first drop you at Sonprayag, last point for tourist cars, bus. Then you will take a shared cab for 5 km till Gaurikund, and then either choose to trek (18 km one side), or take a Helicopter ride, horse, palki etc to reach Kedarnath Dham. Plus your night stay will be at Kedarnath base camp today.
Day 7: Kedarnath to Guptkashi/Sitapur: Come back from Kedarnath starting point (Gaurikund/ Sonprayag) & then drive towards Guptkashi/Sitapur and rest for the night.
Day 8: Guptkashi to Badrinath: On day 8, we will leave for Badrinath town, 195 km & 6-7 hour drive. Upon reaching Badrinath, you will rest for the day & next day we will have the darshan of Shree Badrinath Dham.
Day 9: Pipalkoti to Badrinath: Have morning darshan of Shree Badrinath Dham, where you will also visit Taptkund, Badrivishal, Brahamakapal, Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund, Saraswati River. Plus later we will leave for Rudraprayag for night stay.
Day 10: Rudraprayag to Haridwar: Leave for Haridwar by morning and only after visiting the Panch Prayag site. At the Panch Prayag site. you will see Alaknanda & Mandakini rives colliding with each other, and such places are called as Panch Prayag and there are 5 of such sites in whole Uttarakhand.
And by late evening you will be back i Haridwar, and your 10 days Char Dham Yatra from Haridwar is now completed.

For Char Dham Yatea, you need to get registration pass for all the members. You can get this by visiting registrationandtouristcare. uk.gov.in website, creating an account here and then add details of all your guests.

4. About Helicopter service for Char Dham Yatra from Haridwar
First, you can only get helicopter service from Dehradun (for Char Dham & Do Dham) and second is Sersi Helipad near Guptkashi (for Kedarnath & Do Dham). All the available Helicopter Yatra in 2024 are:
